Diversity Awareness Initiative
GOAL:
Develop a diversity and inclusion campaign that reinforces the medical university’s commitment to cultivating a vibrant, culturally diverse campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The initiative aimed to celebrate diverse perspectives, strengthen a sense of belonging across the campus community, and support recruitment by positioning the university as a welcoming place for students from a wide range of backgrounds.
TACTIC:
Launch an integrated communications campaign designed to highlight the institution's diverse community and inclusive values across multiple touchpoints. Campaign assets included print advertising, conference materials, environmental graphics, institutional video content, and dedicated webpages. QR codes and digital integrations connected offline materials to online experiences, allowing audiences to easily explore programs, initiatives, and opportunities that support diversity and community outreach.
TARGET:
- Current students, faculty, and staff
- Prospective students exploring higher education opportunities
- Individuals ages 22–55 representing diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
- Community partners, alumni, and conference/event attendees
RESULTS:
The campaign increased awareness of the university’s diversity initiatives and reinforced its mission of fostering an inclusive academic environment. Engagement was reflected through increased website visits, QR code interactions, and deeper exploration of diversity-related content, while strengthening brand perception among prospective students and the broader community.
